CLASSES

We have a selection of class types to suit you. Our group classes are small with 8 people maximum, so we can give you the attention necessary for skill development. If you’re not sure which class type will be best for you, please get in touch and we can chat through it together.

GROUP REFORMER CLASSES

Foundation (entry-level)

In this class you will learn the fundamentals of Pilates and start to familiarise yourself with the hybrid practice and equipment. In this class we break down the exercises to ensure you establish the correct techniques to take on your ongoing Pilates practice. This class is run at a slightly slower pace so a great way to learn Pilates in a small group setting. Suitable for remedial clients and those who are just beginning their Pilates journey.

classic (intermediate-level)

 

This class utilises the reformer in its truest classical form, giving you a full body-conditioning workout. We have designed this class for those who have some previous Pilates experience. You may not have practiced in a while, and that’s fine, as long as you have a foundation knowledge of the practice and the basic techniques down. Our Classic class is slightly faster paced and of a higher intensity than Foundation.

HYBRID (intermediate/experienced-level)

Our hybrid class is a high intensity, cardio, and strength training class which incorporates the reformer and TRX methods in its design. There’s the added cardio element to increase your heart rate which may include non-Pilates exercises and additional weights to get the group going. As a higher intensity class, we recommend our Hybrid session to those with an established Pilates practice and a moderate fitness level.

STUDIO PILATES

 

Private or DUET

These sessions are designed to help you learn the Pilates method in a private or semi private setting. You can experience the different apparatus and we can work together to create a program for your individual needs. As these sessions are individualised, they are suitable for those who have been referred by a treating practitioner for Pilates injury management. Unlike the group reformer classes, each client has his or her own individual program to practice.

Initial Consultation

In order to participate in our studio Pilates sessions, we require that you book a time for an initial consultation first. This gives us time to get to know you and your body’s movement, function, and possible limitations. It allows us to work together to determine your goals and discuss any health issues or reservations you may have. A postural assessment and specific muscle testing can be completed in this session. Following your initial consultation an individualised program will be developed. From here, you can then choose if you would like to have a private or duet studio Pilates session.

TRX

TRX SWEAT

If you don’t have time for a full 60-minute workout, you can give your body everything it needs in a 30-minute high intensity TRX session. Our small group TRX Sweat class is designed to develop strength, balance, flexibility, and core stability with TRX suspension training that uses your own body weight to perform the exercises. This one is perfect for a lunchbreak workout!

A LITTLE EXTRA

Seniors’ Class

 

We use the reformer, cadillac, and other small apparatus in this group setting. Depending on numbers, this class often takes the form of a circuit, whereby each person has dedicated time on each piece of equipment. Our seniors’ class is all about low impact exercise while still focusing on weight bearing for improved posture, mobility, and strength. This group is a tight community, however new members are warmly welcomed.

Sport Specific

For this session, you will need to get in touch with us to request a once off training session or a regular meeting. Run as small group classes, and just as the name suggests, these sessions are tailored to suit a specific sporting code i.e. swimmer specific classes. The plan for each session is prepared by our Physiotherapist and run by a Pilates instructor.

HOW DO I START?

Our First Time Passes are the most cost effective way to make a start. You can enjoy either one of our First Time Passes over a 3 week period that starts once you take your first class or session. If you are new to Pilates we recommend starting with our Foundation Reformer classes and progress when you feel ready. CLASS DURATION

 

All of our group reformer classes are 50 minutes, and all studio Pilates sessions run for 1 hour. If you only have a limited time, we also offer a TRX session which is a fast-paced 30-minute workout.
